Chandigarh, July 1 2024 : Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh presided over a state-level program at Panipat Anaj Mandi, where he announced benefits exceeding Rs. 100 crores to over 83,000 beneficiaries under several welfare schemes.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Nayab Singh highlighted the effective implementation of schemes aimed at economically empowering the poor. He emphasized that his government has eliminated intermediaries, ensuring direct benefit transfers to beneficiaries’ accounts.
The allocated benefits include Rs. 22.59 crores disbursed to 75,330 new beneficiaries under the Social Security Pension Scheme. Additionally, Rs. 15.09 crores were allocated to 2,003 beneficiaries for house repairs through the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Awas Navinikarn Yojna. Under the Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana, 6,300 beneficiaries received financial assistance letters totaling approximately Rs. 63 crores for 100 square yard plots.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh underscored other initiatives such as the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijlee Yojana aimed at providing free electricity to the poor and the Mukhyamantri Vivah Shagun Yojana, which offers up to Rs. 71,000 for daughters’ marriages in economically weaker families.
Furthermore, he highlighted the expansion of health benefits under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme and the automation of allowances for 2.32 lakh elderly under the “Old Age Samman Allowance.”
Minister of Development and Panchayats, Sh. Mahipal Dhanda, praised the BJP government’s accomplishments, contrasting them with the Congress’s legacy. He asserted that the BJP government has effectively served the poor, dispelling misinformation spread by political rivals.
The event was also attended by Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, Sh. Bishamber Singh, Panipat City MLA Sh. Pramod Vij, and senior government officials.
The initiatives announced reflect the government’s commitment to ensuring welfare and development for all sections of society in Haryana.
