Modi transformed India’s seeker image to a strong & reliable helping nation internationally: Anurag Thakur

Himachal Pradesh ,19 May 2024: Union Minister and senior BJP leader Shri Anurag Singh Thakur today addressed more than a dozen public meetings in Dehra and Nadaun assembly of Hamirpur parliamentary constituency and appealed to make BJP victorious and Modi ji the PM of India. Addressing the meetings, Shri Anurag Thakur said that under the leadership of Modi ji, India has transformed into a help-giving country from a help-seeker country. During the Corona pandemic, BJP workers under the leadership of Modi ji were on the streets to help the public but at the same time Congressmen were hiding in their homes. We not only saved the lives of our countrymen during the time of Covid but also provided more than 220 crore free vaccines in record time.

Modi Government also helped our citizens stranded abroad during the Russia-Ukrainian war to return home safely. The team that returned to India from the war-torn region through Operation Ganga also included about 300 children from Himachal, which made our Himachali mothers happy. During my programs I keep meeting these children and their families, who bless Modi ji a lot for the timely help.

Shri Anurag Thakur said, “During the Corona pandemic, every worker of the Bharatiya Janata Party was doing social service by becoming a Covid warrior, due to which countless lives were saved. On the other hand, people of the Congress Party and the Indian Alliance were hiding in their homes at that time. This is the difference between them and us. For us, the nation comes first and self comes last.

Shri Anurag Thakur said that living in the mountains is already a bit difficult. During the pandemic, it was becoming a bit more difficult to reach the people here, but I and the Bharatiya Janata Party workers did not give up and delivered the necessary goods, food, equipment and medicines to the people of Himachal to deal with the pandemic. 32 mobile medical units of our ASPTAL service were also continuously helping in doing more than 40 tests, Covid tests, vaccination drives and delivering essential equipment across the state borders.”

Shri Anurag Thakur further said, “With my personal efforts, I provided health facilities in Himachal worth ₹10.3 crores during Corona. To ensure no shortage of Oxygen in Himachal Pradesh and especially in Hamirpur parliamentary constituency, I got an oxygen bank operational here from which 1400 beds were getting uninterrupted oxygen. Overall, we had prepared this oxygen bank by combining more than 1000 oxygen concentrators, 200 oxygen cylinders and 4 oxygen plants. Along with this, I had also provided 4 lakh masks, 25,000 gloves, 10,000 face shields, 7000 PPE kits and 2000 oxygen regulators, 100 oxygen concentrators and many other essential equipment and medicines to the people of my area.

Shri Anurag Thakur said, “Modi ji is the son of Mother India, hence he understands the love of all the mothers of the country for their children. This is the reason why when Russia-Ukraine war was going on and thousands of our children were trapped there, then Modi ji especially talked to the President of Russia about the safe return of Indian students, including about 300 children from Himachal. Today the blessings of all the mothers are with Modi ji and workers like us.

Shri Anurag Thakur said, “By running Operation Ganga, the Prime Minister facilitated the safe return of more than 27,000 Indian citizens trapped in the Ukraine-Russia war. It is the Modi government that made the Indian sailors return home safely even after they were given the death penalty in Qatar. This is Modi ji’s new India which brought our Sikh brothers and Guru Granth Sahib from Afghanistan to India with full respect. During the time of Corona, about 3 crore Indians from all over the world came to India safely. Be it the earthquake in Nepal or any crisis anywhere in the world including Turkey, Syria and Libya, Indian help reaches first. This is the strong picture of a new India. India, which was once one of those asking for help, has now become a helper. This is the achievement of Modi government.”

Shri Anurag Thakur further said in response to a question related to Himachal Government, “16 months have passed but they have not fulfilled even a single promise made to the people. Today the mothers and sisters of Himachal are waiting for ₹ 1500 per month. Congress neither bought cow dung at ₹ 2 per kg, nor gave the price of milk at ₹ 100 per liter. They did not even provide 300 units of free electricity and did not provide 5 lakh jobs to the youth. This is the reason why nine of their MLAs left them within 15 months. This is the first time in the political history of Himachal that public trust in a government has been broken within just 12 to 15 months. Today, there is tremendous enthusiasm in Hamirpur parliamentary constituency and entire Himachal to make Modi ji the Prime Minister of the country for the third time. Wherever I am going today, the public is blessing the BJP with an open heart.”
