MVN School Launches Chrysalis 5.0: A Grand Showcase of Sports, Spirit and Vision with Pullela Gopichand

Faridabad , August 7 : MVN Senior Secondary School, Sector 88, Faridabad, marked a spectacular beginning to the fifth edition of its flagship inter-school sports festival, Chrysalis 5.0 – Scholastic Champions League, held on August 6 at the cutting-edge MVN 88 Exercise and Sports Academy.

Bringing together over 850 participants from 40+ prestigious institutions across Delhi NCR, the event stood as a glowing tribute to youth, discipline, teamwork, and excellence in sports.

The opening ceremony reached historic proportions with the presence of Padma Bhushan awardee and national badminton legend Pullela Gopichand, whose inspiring words urged young minds to embrace discipline, resilience, and a relentless pursuit of excellence not only in sport but in all walks of life.

Supriya Devgun, an esteemed mentor from Badminton Gurukul, added depth to the ceremony, emphasizing the role of committed guidance in nurturing future champions. MVN’s Director-Academics Neeta Bali praised the event’s scale and impact, highlighting how sports can transform not just bodies, but minds and character.

Principal Neeta Arora underlined MVN’s strong commitment to holistic education through its innovative E2 philosophy and unique fitness framework—ensuring students receive four periods each of fitness and games weekly, integrating joy, discipline, and health into the academic routine.

The grandeur of Chrysalis 5.0 was made possible by the visionary leadership of Kanta Sharma (Managing Director, MVN Society), Varun Sharma (President, MVN Society), and J.P. Gaur (Director, MVN Schools), whose unwavering belief in the power of youth shaped this event into an inspiring milestone.

The sporting contests—ranging from badminton, basketball, swimming, and table tennis to musical yoga, zumba, and gymnastics—were bursting with energy, precision, and a deep spirit of sportsmanship. Each performance was a blend of passion and discipline, leaving the audience thrilled and inspired.

MVNites kicked off the event with a powerful rendition of the MVN Anthem, followed by a motivational song that encouraged participants to “rise, strive, and shine.” A series of stunning performances, including a fusion dance that creatively used sports equipment, captivated spectators with its artistic flair and choreography.

As Chrysalis 5.0 unfolded, it became more than just a sports competition—it emerged as a movement toward unity, growth, and the making of future champions.
