Bhopal: September 12, 2025- Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the state government is dedicated to the task of empowering  Ladli Behna . He said that ensuring well-being of Ladli Behna is our mission. The state government is moving forward step by step to make women economically self-reliant through schemes like the Devi Ahilyabai Women Empowerment Mission and Ladli Behna Yojana.” The Chief Minister emphasised that Madhya Pradesh has a sensitive government with transparent policies. Monthly financial support is provided to ladali Behna to help them become economically self-reliant. CM Dr. Yadav said, “Our happiness lies in their joy. The development of sisters ensures the progress of the entire society.”

CM Dr. Yadav was addressing the state-level ‘Ladli Behna’ Sammelan held at Petlawad in Jhabua district on Friday. He said that women’s respect, safety and empowerment remain the government’s top priorities, and that the benefits of all schemes are being delivered to them in a transparent and effective manner. He informed that on September 17, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will visit Bhainsola village of Badnawar tehsil in Dhar district to dedicate the PM Mitra Park to the state. The park is expected to transform the economy of the Malwa-Nimar region and boost development across the entire state.

CM Dr. Yadav transferred over ₹1,541 crore of the 28th installment into the accounts of 1.26 crore Ladli Behnas. He also transferred ₹320.89 crore to 53.48 lakh social security pension beneficiaries and ₹48 crore for LPG cylinder refills to more than 31 lakh women. He performed bhoomi-Poojan and inaugurated development works worth ₹345.34 crore in Petlawad. CM Dr. Yadav also released the book ‘Jhabua ke Sanjeevak’, based on tribal Ayurvedic traditions and medical knowledge, prepared by the district administration. Customised petrol-driven motorcycles were distributed to 11 ‘Divyang’ BPL beneficiaries.

The Chief Minister said that Jhabua is a vibrant region, renowned for its natural beauty, agriculture and vegetable production. Its tomatoes reach across the country. He noted that today Ladli Behnas once again received ₹1,250 each through a single click, a gesture symbolic of Rakshabandhan. Since the launch of the scheme, ₹41,000 crore has been disbursed. From Bhai Dooj after Diwali, sisters will receive ₹1,500 every month, and gradually the ‘Ladli Behna’ scheme amount will be increased to ₹3,000 per month.

CM Dr. Yadav praised PM Shri Modi’s leadership, saying India is standing strong and self-reliant under his guidance. He highlighted that the central government is providing free rations to 85 crore needy citizens. He said that on September 17, along with the PM Mitra Park gift for cotton farmers, Seva Pakhwada will also be launched, under which women will receive free health check-ups through the ‘Swastha Nari, Sashakta Parivar’ campaign. Dhar–Jhabua will be linked with industries and employment to lay a new foundation for development.

CM Dr. Yadav said that electricity, water, and irrigation facilities are being expanded and improved at all levels. Farmers are receiving the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. About 65 lakh women are associated with 5 lakh self-help groups in the state, including 2 lakh women in Jhabua. Over ₹320 crore benefits have been provided to differently-abled citizens.

He recalled that during the previous governments, schools lacked even basic mats for children. Jhabua district will now have two Sandipani schools, one each in Meghnagar and Petlawad. He said that government schools have shown improved performance, with scooters being distributed to Class 12 toppers and laptops provided to students scoring over 75 percent.

The CM highlighted the Rahveer Yojana, free hearse vans across districts, and ongoing government support in difficult times. He stated that Jhabua has received nearly ₹350 crore worth of development projects and that the government has secured national recognition for the traditional Bhagoria festival. He praised the people of Jhabua for banning DJs to preserve the dignity of traditional musical instruments.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated women on the forthcoming 33% reservation in elections, which will enhance their representation in Parliament and state assemblies.

The CM Dr. Yadav announced several new projects including Construction of a modern bus stand in Petlawad, Development of ghats and beautification at Shrangeshwar pilgrimage site (₹6.5 crore), Construction of a 55 km two-lane Rajgarh Para–Ranapur–Pitola road, Construction of a 30.8 km two-lane road from Datigaon Phata on NH-47 to Umarkot–Bolasa–Raipuriya, A high-level bridge and road on Machhliya–Mrgarundi route from NH-47, Bridge construction on Kadwali village road, Jhabua–Kalyanpura–Raipuriya route, Bridge on Mahi river at village Dhaturiya (Jhabua) to connect to Labaria in Dhar district, New Nal-Jal Yojana in village Para, Rama block, Construction of hostels worth ₹25 crore in Jhabua and Announcement of a new Medical College in Jhabua soon. The Chief Minister said that the government will support tribal children aspiring to become doctors and engineers by covering education expenses up to foreign studies.

CM Dr. Yadav said for the first time since independence, a member of the tribal community has become President of India. The government is making every effort for tribal welfare. He mentioned the Tantya Mama University in Khargone and expressed condolences to the victims of the tragic blast in Petlawad a decade ago, praying for peace for the departed souls.

During the program, the CM Dr. Yadav also distributed benefits to beneficiaries of various government schemes and handed appointment letters to newly selected Anganwadi workers and assistants under the Women and Child Development Department.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav visited the development exhibition put up by various departments at the venue. The program began with Kanya Pujan. Minister-in-charge and Tribal Welfare Minister Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah, Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Nirmala Bhuria, MP Smt. Anita Nagar Singh Chouhan, public representatives, Indore Commissioner Dr. Sudam Khade, IG Shri Anurag, Collector Neha Meena, SP Shri Raghuvansh Singh, along with a large number of Ladli Behnas and citizens, were present.
