New Delhi , September 27, 2025- Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will inaugurate the fourth edition of the Kautilya Economic Conclave (KEC 2025) on 3rd October in New Delhi. The three-day event, hosted at the Taj Palace from October 3–5, will convene global thought leaders, policymakers, and industry experts to deliberate on the theme “Seeking Prosperity in Turbulent Times.”
The conclave will conclude with closing reflections on India’s foreign and economic policy by External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar on 5th October. Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia will chair a special session on “Communications: Emerging Technologies,” bringing together leading voices in AI and digital infrastructure
The high-level discussions will cover Asia’s emergence as a growth hub, the evolving BRICS framework, financial stability, and new directions in industrial policy. A marquee session will feature Jean-Claude Trichet, Honorary Governor of the Banque de France, in conversation with Reserve Bank of India Governor Sanjay Malhotra on the challenges of central banking in volatile times.

Additional panels will examine universal healthcare, youth employment, urbanisation, trade and regional integration, and the impact of emerging technologies.
A closing plenary on global macroeconomic prudence, chaired by P. K. Mishra, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, will bring together senior policymakers and economists to assess global economic health and the need for reforms in financial governance.
This year’s conclave will host 75 international participants from more than 30 countries, making KEC 2025 the most globally engaged edition yet. Networking breaks, interactive sessions, and special forums will foster candid exchanges and practical solutions.

The conclave is organised by the Institute of Economic Growth (IEG), under the leadership of its President N. K. Singh, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Finance. Participation is by invitation only.
