Faridabad: A moment filled with pride and emotion was witnessed at Haryana Bhawan on Tuesday when Rajeev Jaitly, Media Advisor to the Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and National Spokesperson of the BJP, formally released the book ‘Journey: True Story of Soldier’ authored by Dr. Preeta Panwar. Several distinguished personalities from Faridabad district graced the occasion and appreciated the author’s significant contribution.
The book is based on the life of Late Shivraj Singh Panwar, father of author Dr. Preeta Panwar, who served the nation as a courageous soldier and defended India’s borders in the 1962, 1965 and 1971 wars. During his lifetime, he wrote nearly 40 to 50 diaries, which form the foundation of this extraordinary book. It not only documents his military journey but also reflects many crucial chapters of India’s history with heartfelt narration.
Dr. Preeta Panwar has portrayed India’s national journey from the post-Independence era to the period of 2017–18, with deep research and profound storytelling. Her writing beautifully connects the spirit of an individual with the soul of the nation, taking readers through a unique journey of patriotism, sacrifice and national pride.
The book carries a powerful message for today’s youth that serving the nation is not merely a duty, but a deep emotion and legacy that must be cherished for generations.
