Iran Warns of Strike on Israeli Nuclear Facility as Middle East Conflict Escalates

Tehran/Jerusalem, March 5: Tensions in the Middle East escalated sharply after Iran warned that it could target a key nuclear installation in Israel if attempts are made to overthrow the Iranian government amid the ongoing conflict involving the United States and Israel.

Iranian officials stated that any move aimed at regime change in Tehran could prompt a direct strike on Israel’s sensitive nuclear infrastructure, signaling the possibility of a major escalation in the regional war.

The warning comes as hostilities between Israel and Iran continue to intensify, with both sides reportedly carrying out missile and drone strikes on military and strategic locations. The involvement of the United States alongside Israel has further heightened tensions across the region.

Military operations in recent days have targeted facilities linked to Iran’s defence and nuclear programmes, prompting retaliatory actions from Tehran against Israeli positions and American bases in the Middle East.

Analysts say that threats involving nuclear facilities dramatically raise the stakes of the conflict, as any attack on such sites could trigger severe regional and global repercussions.

Amid the growing crisis, world leaders and international organizations have called for restraint and urgent diplomatic efforts to prevent the conflict from expanding into a wider regional war.
