Iran Lists Three Conditions to End Conflict Amid Continuing Air Strikes

Iran Sets Three Conditions to End War Amid Ongoing US and Israel Air Strikes

Tehran, Mar 12: Iran has outlined three key conditions for ending the ongoing conflict as air strikes by the United States and Israel continue across the country. The announcement came on the 12th day of the war, with Tehran calling for recognition of its rights and guarantees to prevent further attacks.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said the conflict could end if the international community acknowledges Iran’s legitimate rights, provides compensation for damages caused during the war and offers firm assurances against future aggression.

In a message posted after speaking with leaders of Russia and Pakistan, Pezeshkian reiterated Iran’s position that it remains committed to peace in the region but blamed the current escalation on actions by Israel and the United States.

Iran has long maintained that its nuclear programme is lawful under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), arguing that uranium enrichment for peaceful purposes is a legitimate right of member states. During earlier nuclear negotiations before the outbreak of hostilities, Tehran consistently defended its position on the issue.

The latest statement also marked the first time a senior Iranian leader publicly demanded reparations as part of the conditions for ending the conflict.

Meanwhile, military tensions in the region remain high as air strikes and retaliatory actions continue. International diplomatic efforts are underway to prevent further escalation and bring the warring sides back to negotiations.

Observers say the outcome of the conflict may depend on whether global powers can facilitate dialogue addressing security concerns, nuclear issues and regional stability.
