New Delhi, April 12, 2026; The Indian Navy is set to organise its first biannual Commanders’ Conference of 2026 in the national capital, bringing together senior leadership for an extensive review of maritime security and operational readiness. The three day event will take place from April 14 to April 16, 2026 at Nausena Bhawan, where key decisions shaping naval strategy are expected to be discussed.
The upcoming conference gains added importance amid evolving geopolitical tensions, particularly in West Asia, where recent developments have led to increased naval deployments to safeguard India’s energy routes. The presence of multiple international forces in the Indian Ocean Region has further underlined the need for coordinated maritime vigilance and preparedness.
Senior officials including the Chief of Defence Staff and the Union Home Secretary will address the gathering, offering broader insights into national security priorities.
