New Delhi, May 10 – India has strongly rejected Pakistan’s recent claims of damaging key Indian military facilities, calling them “a mix of lies, misinformation, and state-sponsored propaganda.” At the same time, Indian authorities confirmed that Pakistan is actively moving troops towards forward positions, signaling potential warlike intentions.

Briefing the media, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, along with senior defence officials including Col Sofiya Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, said the Indian armed forces are maintaining a high level of operational readiness in response to the growing tensions.

“Pakistan has been moving troops to forward areas, a move that suggests offensive intentions and an attempt to escalate tensions,” said the defence representatives. “Our forces are alert, fully capable, and have already countered all hostile actions effectively.”

Foreign Secretary Misri further warned that Pakistani statements, including claims of destroying the Indian Air Force stations in Sirsa and Suratgarh, as well as the S-400 missile base in Adampur, are completely baseless. “None of these facilities have been impacted. These are outright fabrications by the Pakistani state,” he stated.

He also slammed Pakistan’s repeated attempts to attack Indian cyber, power, and civilian infrastructure. “All these claims are false, and the international community should not be misled by Pakistan’s fabricated narratives,” Misri emphasized.

Pakistan’s continued targeting of civilian areas—particularly in Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab—was also condemned. He confirmed that Raj Kumar Thapa, the Additional District Development Commissioner of Rajouri, was killed in fresh shelling by Pakistani forces.

Additional damage and civilian injuries have been reported overnight in Ferozepur, Jalandhar, and other regions.

Misri criticized the Pakistani military for spreading rumors about missile attacks near religious sites like Sri Amritsar Sahib, calling it a failed attempt to sow communal discord in India.

He also rebuked the Pakistani Army’s spokesperson for mocking India’s open democratic discourse: “In India, citizens have the right to question their government. This democratic culture may be alien to Pakistan, but it’s our strength.”

Finally, he dismissed another bizarre claim made by Pakistan—that Indian missiles had landed in Afghanistan—calling it a “frivolous and laughable accusation,” and reminded the global audience of Pakistan’s documented history of attacks on Afghan civilians.
