The Impressive TimesFaridabad- In a landmark initiative bridging medical expertise with education, ILSS Ashwani Hospital, Faridabad, conducted a live demonstration of two advanced HoLEP (Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate) surgeries from the hospital to an audience of over 250 young urologists at the USI Youth Conclave, Shillong (Meghalaya).
The surgeries were performed by Dr. Tanuj Paul Bhatia, Chairman – Urology, ILSS Hospitals, who is renowned for his proficiency in advanced laser procedures.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Tanuj Paul Bhatia said, “The number of urologists in India is rapidly growing, with many super-specialists now establishing practices in tier-II and tier-III cities. It is crucial for them to learn these advanced techniques so that patients don’t have to travel thousands of kilometers for such procedures.”
Dr. Abhishek Singh, Chairman of YOU (Youth Organization of USI), extended his gratitude to Dr. Bhatia and ILSS Hospitals, emphasizing that such live demonstrations are vital for training the next generation of specialists in modern surgical techniques. The session saw enthusiastic participation from young doctors, who actively engaged with queries about HoLEP procedures, patient care, and the future of laser technology in smaller healthcare centers. Reinforcing its leadership in urology, ILSS Ashwani Hospital was recently ranked among the top 10 single-specialty urology hospitals in India by the Times Health Survey 2025. This initiative not only underlines the hospital’s commitment to world-class patient care but also its mission to nurture and empower upcoming medical professionals across the country.
