Mathura/Rohtak- In a major breakthrough in the ongoing gang rivalry between Haryana’s most notorious criminal groups, the Delhi Crime Branch has apprehended a key member of the Himanshu Bhau gang from Barsana in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. The accused was wanted in connection with the revenge killing of Anil Kumar, the uncle of rival gang leader Ankit alias Baba of Rohtak.

According to police sources, the gruesome murder took place on June 1, 2025, in Rohtak, allegedly carried out as retaliation for the 2022 killings of Rohit alias Bajrang and his uncle—both close associates of Himanshu Bhau. That double murder had reportedly been orchestrated by Ankit Baba’s gang, escalating a bloody feud that began in 2019 over a minor dispute.

So far, four suspects have already been arrested in this case, and the latest apprehension marks another blow to the Himanshu Bhau gang’s operations.

Acting on a tip-off received on July 14, Sub-Inspector Mohit Yadav informed the team at ARSC (Anti Robbery and Snatching Cell). A swift operation was then carried out under the leadership of Inspector Arun Sindhu and supervision of ACP Arvind Kumar, leading to a raid in Barsana where the wanted juvenile gang member was hiding.

The accused was wanted in FIR No. 234/2025, registered at PS Shivaji Colony, Rohtak, under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including Sections 103(1), 241, 249, 253, 3(5), 318(4), 319(2), and 61(2).

After the arrest, he was handed over to Haryana Police for further investigation and legal action.

This is not the first time the apprehended accused has been involved in violent crimes. He was previously named in:

  • FIR No. 293/2023 under Sections 307/34 IPC and 25/27 Arms Act, registered at PS Special Cell, Delhi.

DCP Crime, Delhi, Sanjeev Yadav (IPS) confirmed the arrest and said that the Delhi Police remains committed to cracking down on inter-state gang rivalries and organized crime networks.
