Faridabad : The Annual Function of Herald Public Senior Secondary School, located in Village Bhupani, Sector-89, Greater Faridabad, was celebrated with great dignity and enthusiasm on January 1. The event was held on the school premises from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and witnessed the presence of a large number of distinguished guests, parents, and local residents.
The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp before Goddess Saraswati. This was followed by captivating performances by students based on patriotism, Indian culture, social themes, and folk dances, which mesmerized the audience. An exhibition showcasing the school’s academic achievements was also organized, along with a felicitation ceremony to honour meritorious students.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Roop Singh Nagar said, “The objective of education today is not merely to obtain degrees, but also to inculcate moral values, ethics, and social responsibility among children. The way Herald Public Senior Secondary School is emphasizing culture and discipline along with education is highly commendable. The confidence and talent displayed by the students today clearly reflect a bright future.”
Roop Singh Nagar further assured the public that he would make every possible effort to secure CBSE affiliation for Herald Public Senior Secondary School. He also promised to take up the matter at the appropriate level to facilitate the allocation of one acre of land from the government for the expansion and development of the school. He stated that this demand was put forward by the school management and, considering its importance, he assured full cooperation in the interest of the institution. This assurance generated a wave of enthusiasm among the school management, parents, and local residents.

Prof. M. P. Singh remarked, “Such annual functions provide an effective platform to bring out the hidden talents of students. The performances, ideas, and stage management by the children today were truly praiseworthy. Events like these make education lively and meaningful.”
Kamlesh Shastri, Mandal Child Welfare Officer, said, “Along with academics, cultural activities are essential for the all-round development of children. Such programmes contribute significantly to their mental and social growth.”
Representing the school management, Chairman Harpal Singh Yadav, while expressing gratitude to all guests, said, “Our goal is to shape children into good human beings and responsible citizens. The success of this event reflects the dedicated efforts of the school family and the valuable support of parents.”
Principal Navdeep Yadav stated, “This annual function has been successful due to the hard work of our students and teachers. We are proud that our students are excelling in every field.”
At the conclusion of the programme, all dignitaries were honoured with mementoes, and the ceremony ended with the National Anthem.
