Ambala: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini flagged off a special pilgrimage train from Ambala to Ayodhya under the Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana, marking a significant step towards promoting spiritual tourism and inclusivity.
In the first phase, around 700 elderly pilgrims from seven districts of Haryana were sent on this यात्रा. The state government has ensured comprehensive arrangements for food, medical assistance, and security to provide a safe and comfortable journey for all passengers.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister emphasized that the initiative aims to ensure that no devotee is deprived of visiting sacred places due to financial constraints. He described the यात्रा not just as a journey, but as a deeply spiritual and transformative experience, connecting the land of Haryana, associated with Lord Krishna, to the birthplace of Lord Ram in Ayodhya.

The government has already facilitated similar यात्राएं to Ayodhya through bus services from various districts. In addition, schemes like the Swarn Jayanti Sindhu Darshan Yojana, Kailash Mansarovar Yatra Scheme, and Swarn Jayanti Guru Darshan Yatra Yojana are being actively implemented to encourage religious tourism across the state.

Announcing further expansion of the initiative, Saini said that another special pilgrimage train will be launched in the last week of April to Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib in Maharashtra, offering devotees more opportunities for convenient and affordable travel.
The flag-off ceremony witnessed an emotional atmosphere as elderly pilgrims embarked on their sacred journey, symbolizing Haryana’s deep-rooted faith and devotion reaching the holy city of Ayodhya.
