Greater Noida: A meeting aimed at improving coordination between workers and factory owners was held on Sunday under the chairmanship of Saumya Srivastava, ACEO of the Greater Noida Authority. The meeting was attended by Authority ACEO Sumit Yadav, OSD Naveen Kumar Singh, Manager (Industries) Arvind Mohan Singh, and from the District Administration, ADM Manglesh Dubey and DCP (Police) Praveen Ranjan Singh.

Representatives from organisations including Noida Entrepreneurs Association, Industrial Business Association, India Industries Association, Industrial Entrepreneurs Association, Greater Noida Entrepreneurs Association, Laghu Udyog Bharati and Ecotech‑12 Association also participated. During the meeting, officials informed industrial representatives about the new guidelines issued by the factory department.

Manglesh Dubey said that no worker should be removed unnecessarily. Overtime payment will be made at double rates without any deduction, and every worker will be given a weekly holiday. If employees work on Sundays, they will also receive double wages. Bonus payments will be credited to workers’ bank accounts as per rules by November 30, and any wage increase announced by Uttar Pradesh government will be implemented from the effective date.
He also stated that each factory must establish an Internal Committee to prevent workplace sexual harassment, headed by a woman, and install complaint boxes to ensure respectful treatment of workers. Salaries must be paid in full by the 10th of every month, and workers must receive salary slips.

Praveen Ranjan Singh said maintaining law and order by ensuring coordination between entrepreneurs and workers is a priority for the police, and cooperation from all stakeholders is expected. Concluding the meeting, Saumya Srivastava urged industrial organisations to maintain a positive and healthy working environment in industrial units.
