Vijayawada, June 19 – In a strategic push to help Indian industries tap into international markets, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is set to host a two-day B2B meeting series in Vijayawada. The event, being organized in collaboration with the Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone), Government of Sharjah, UAE, is themed “Expand Your Business in International Markets through UAE.”

The meetings will be held on June 23 and 24 at Novotel Vijayawada Varun, bringing together business leaders from Andhra Pradesh and representatives from the SAIF Zone to explore investment and trade opportunities in the UAE.

This initiative is designed to highlight the strategic advantages of operating from SAIF Zone — a prominent, investor-friendly free zone in the Gulf region — and to inform local entrepreneurs about how they can benefit from expanding their operations into the UAE.

Key Sectors and Business Engagement

The focus sectors for the event include:

  • Engineering goods

  • Auto components

  • Food processing

  • Renewable energy

  • Ceramics

  • Agro-equipment

Senior delegates from the SAIF Zone will hold direct discussions with Indian companies, offering guidance on business setup processes, infrastructure support, and cross-border investment facilitation in Sharjah.

Participants will also receive insights into effectively utilizing the India–UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). This trade agreement provides Indian exporters with duty-free access to UAE markets and simplifies regulatory procedures — a significant advantage for businesses looking to scale operations globally.

Speaking about the initiative, M. Prabhakar Rao, Chairman of FICCI Andhra Pradesh State Council and Group Chairman of NSL Group, said:

“This is a valuable opportunity for regional industries to explore global markets and scale internationally through the UAE. The B2B meetings offer practical insights and a direct platform to connect with UAE authorities.”

The event marks a critical step towards building cross-border partnerships and equipping Indian businesses with tools to access Middle Eastern and global markets through UAE’s business-friendly ecosystem.
