FARIDABAD : A review meeting was held to review the ongoing sanitation-related activities and to discuss in detail the agenda for the upcoming Swachh Survekshan (Cleanliness Survey) 2025-26 with all NGOs, RWAs, housing societies, master trainers, and dedicated volunteers working under the Faridabad Municipal Corporation.
The meeting, chaired by Municipal Commissioner Dhirendra Khadgata, provided important guidelines on various aspects of sanitation and involved discussions with stakeholders. Following suggestions received regarding waste collection, Commissioner Dhirendra Khadgata stated that all vendors working for waste collection within the municipal corporation area must register with the municipal corporation. Otherwise, action will be taken against unregistered vendors after a survey conducted by the corporation.

Municipal Commissioner Dhirendra Khadgata provided detailed information to the stakeholders present at the meeting about the waste disposal process. He specifically discussed the role of gated societies and RWAs in the disposal of bulk waste, explaining how bulk waste should be disposed of scientifically and effectively.

He also mentioned that a survey would be conducted regarding the number of gated societies within the municipal area.

Commissioner Dhirendra Khadgata said that members of organizations cooperating in sanitation work would be made volunteers so that they can work with municipal corporation officials to raise awareness among other citizens. Social workers, RWA representatives, and dignitaries from housing societies present at the meeting also offered their suggestions. The Municipal Commissioner assured them that all suggestions received would be seriously considered by the corporation. The concept of adopting a Zero Waste Home was also discussed at the meeting. On this occasion, SBM expert Kalpana Mandal, Sanitation Inspector Headquarters Bishan Tewatia, Sanitation Inspector Harveer Rawat, Sanitation Inspector Brijmohan Sharma, Sanitation Inspector Jagveer Chauhan, Corporation spokesperson Jogendra Rawat, Meena Bhardwaj, Babita Singh, Saroj Kumar, environmentalist Poornima Rastogi, members of the Eco Club, Aahar Seva Sansthan, Victora Life Foundation, Jan Kalyan Society, Eco Savera, Environment Protection Team, and members of the Resident Welfare Association, along with other officers and employees, were also present.
