Faridabad Municipal Commissioner Holds Key Meeting on Beautification and Monsoon Preparedness

Faridabad, May 12 –Dhirendra Khadgata, Commissioner MCF held a crucial meeting today with municipal officials to review city infrastructure, with a strong focus on beautification of parks and preparation for the upcoming monsoon season.
During the meeting, Commissioner Khadgata issued clear directives for the cleaning of all city drains (nullahs) and proper disposal of the resulting waste. He emphasized that the silt removed from drains must be disposed of at appropriate locations. He also instructed officials to identify and take action against any encroachments on or around drains to ensure smooth water flow and to prevent the spread of filth, as complaints have been received about illegal constructions causing blockages and unsanitary conditions. He also directed that problem areas prone to waterlogging during rains should be identified immediately. A comprehensive plan will be developed to permanently resolve such issues before the monsoon begins.


In addition to drainage concerns, beautification of city parks was a major agenda in the meeting. The Commissioner ordered repairs of broken swings and gym equipment in the parks, stressing the need to ensure safety and enjoyment for children and residents who frequent these public spaces. He also highlighted the importance of enhancing the overall look of green belts and parks. To achieve this, the Municipal Corporation plans to work closely with Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs). Commissioner Khadgata stated that RWAs interested in helping develop and maintain parks and green belts will be granted permissions and support to do so.
The meeting was attended by several senior officials, including Additional Commissioner Saloni Sharma, Additional Commissioner Gaurav Antil, Municipal Secretary Dr. Jaideep, Additional Municipal Commissioner Dr. Vijaypal Yadav, Joint Commissioners Rajesh Kumar, Karan Singh, Hitendra Kumar, Dvija, Chief Engineer Vivek Gill, Superintending Engineer Ombir Singh, Technical Advisor Anil Mehta, and Municipal Health Officer Nitish Praval. Engineers from various departments including Executive Engineers (XENs), Sub-Divisional Officers (SDOs), and Junior Engineers (JEs) were also present.
The Commissioner concluded the meeting by instructing all departments to expedite action and ensure timely completion of all planned works.
