Drone Attack Near Dubai Airport Disrupts Flights, Indian Airlines Scale Back Services

Temporary suspension of operations affects travel as security concerns rise

Dubai, March 16: Flight operations at Dubai International Airport were briefly suspended after reports of a drone attack near the airport triggered security concerns, leading several airlines to halt or adjust services.

Following the incident, Indian carriers including Air India and IndiGo announced temporary curtailment of some of their flight operations to and from Dubai as a precautionary measure.

Airport authorities reportedly paused flights for a short period to assess the situation and ensure passenger safety. Operations were later resumed gradually after security agencies reviewed the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Airlines advised passengers to check the status of their flights before travelling, as schedules may be affected due to the disruption. Additional security measures were also put in place at the airport following the incident.

Dubai International Airport is one of the busiest aviation hubs in the world and serves as a major transit point for international travellers, including a large number of passengers from India.

Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation while airlines work to normalise operations and minimise inconvenience to travellers.
