Transport Range of Delhi Police Recovered and handover 580 Stolen/Lost Mobile Phones Worth over INR 1.25 Crore.

In view of Celebrating 79th Delhi Police Week – 2026, the Transport Range of Delhi Police comprising Metro, Railway and IGI Airport has ramped up targeted operations and CEIR-enabled tracing to tackle mobile theft in the Delhi metro.

The Transport Range, Delhi Police has secured a significant success in recovering stolen mobile phones with “Mission Reconnect 3.0 – Your Phone’s Journey Back Home,” resulting in the recovery of 580 (involving 266 of Metro Unit, 188 of Railway and 126 of IGI Airport) stolen/lost mobile phones, valued more than INR 1.25 Crore. Apart from this earlier, during Mission Reconnect and Mission Reconnect 2.0, over 800 stolen/lost mobile phones valued INR 1.50 Crore approx. were handed over to their rightful owners.

On 19.02.2026, Transport Range of Delhi Police has officially organized a function at DCP/Metro office complex, Kashmiri Gate, Delhi – 110006 titled Celebrating 79th Delhi Police Week-2026 in c/w “Mission Reconnect 3.0-Your Phone’s Journey Back Home” wherein around 155 victims/complainants were present and in the presence of Sh. Milind Mahadeo Dumbere, IPS, Jt. CP/Transport Range, Sh. Kushal Pal Singh, IPS, DCP/Metro and Sh. Vichitra Veer, IPS, DCP/IGI Airport, these 155 mobile phones were handed over to their rightful owners. This initiative is not just a law enforcement effort—it is a statement. A statement that the Delhi Police is unwavering in its mission to serve, to protect, and to uphold justice in its truest form.
