Delhi Police and NDRF Renew MoU for Disaster Management Training

New Delhi : Delhi Police and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have renewed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a further period of three years to continue institutionalizing disaster management training for police personnel at the Delhi Police Academy (DPA).

Training covers Disaster Management and Preparedness, Rescue Operations, CPR Techniques, Community-Based Disaster Management, and Incident Response System.

Satish Golchha, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Delhi, expressed appreciation for NDRF’s expertise and commitment to enhancing Delhi Police’s disaster response capabilities. He emphasized the importance of this collaboration in ensuring public safety.

Under the MoU, NDRF instructors conduct regular training sessions for all categories of police trainees at DPA.

Since 2022, around 17,000 trainees have benefitted, enhancing their competence in handling emergencies and improving coordination with NDRF.

The collaboration has built awareness, improved coordination, strengthened response mechanisms, and encouraged community engagement.

Senior officers of Delhi Police including all Spl. CPs and senior officers of NDRF were present.

The renewal reflects the continued commitment of Delhi Police and NDRF towards strengthening disaster resilience and preparedness.
