Delhi records 118 ‘Good’, ‘Satisfactory’ or ‘Moderate’ air quality days in 2025 so far.

“This is not a seasonal blip — this historical outcome is a result of consistent, coordinated and no-nonsense execution,” says Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa
New Delhi:Delhi is witnessing a major turnaround in its air quality story, with 2025 already clocking 118 days of ‘Good’, ‘Satisfactory’, or ‘Moderate’ air quality. According to the AQI bulletin, today’s citywide AQI is at 67, making it the cleanest July in a decade.
Speaking on the development, Environment Ministers Manjinder Singh Sirsa said:
“This is not a seasonal blip — it is the result of Delhi’s multi-agency implementation model, continuous landfill action, intensified sweeping operations, and a clear commitment to outcome-based governance.”
He added that this consistent trend reflects the Delhi Government’s long-term approach, which includes daily review mechanisms, hotspot management, legacy waste clearance, and sustained enforcement.
“We are not celebrating early. We are simply staying the course — and the results are becoming visible more frequently across the year,” he said.
This approach is part of the larger Viksit Delhi Mission, inspired by the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, and implemented under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta ji.
The Minister further noted that Delhi’s environment strategy is grounded in long-term coordination between multiple departments and citizen participation, in line with the Viksit Bharat, Viksit Dilli vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji and under the leadership of Chief Minister  Rekha Gupta ji.
