Delhi Police Anti-Narcotics Squad Cracks Milk Theft Ring, Two Suspects Apprehended

Investigation reveals organized network involved in large-scale dairy theft across the city

New Delhi, April 5, 2026: Delhi’s Anti-Narcotics Squad successfully dismantled a milk theft gang on Sunday, arresting two suspects believed to be behind a series of organized dairy-related thefts across the capital.

Delhi Police officials stated that the operation came after months of surveillance and intelligence gathering, which revealed a coordinated network targeting milk suppliers and distributors in multiple neighborhoods.

The arrested individuals, both residents of northeast Delhi, were taken into custody after being caught in the act during a raid near a local dairy distribution point.Investigators recovered stolen milk crates, transport vehicles, and tools allegedly used to facilitate the thefts, which were intended for illegal resale in the city’s markets.

Authorities confirmed that the gang had been operating systematically, taking advantage of early morning supply routes and attempting to bypass standard tracking mechanisms employed by dairy vendors.

During interrogation, the suspects reportedly admitted to multiple theft incidents, providing details of their modus operandi, which included collusion with minor helpers and diversion tactics to evade detection.

Police emphasized that such operations pose a risk not only to commerce but also to public health, as stolen or tampered dairy products could enter the supply chain, compromising safety standards.

The Anti-Narcotics Squad has launched further investigations to identify any additional accomplices and track the movement of stolen goods, ensuring that all parties involved are held accountable.

Officials urged local dairy operators and distributors to remain vigilant, report suspicious activity promptly, and cooperate with authorities to prevent similar incidents in the future.

The arrested suspects have been charged under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, and the case continues to be actively investigated to curb organized theft in the city.
