Manesar, October 02, 2025 – Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Bhupender Yadav, laid the foundation stone of ‘Namo Van’ in Manesar today, marking the start of Wildlife Week 2025 (October 2–8). Haryana Cabinet Minister Rao Narbir Singh was also present on the occasion.
The ceremony featured a plantation drive under the campaign ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’, encouraging citizens to plant trees in honor of their mothers. The event also recognized the contributions of school students, forest staff, journalists, social workers, and other stakeholders who have played a significant role in forest and wildlife conservation.
Sharing his message on social media platform ‘X’, Yadav stressed the importance of preserving biodiversity and said that Wildlife Week aims to spread awareness on ecological balance and inspire every citizen to contribute to conservation efforts.
Wildlife Week is observed annually from October 2 to 8 to highlight the need for wildlife protection. This year’s observance is themed around ‘Sewa Parv’, reflecting the spirit of service and responsibility towards nature.
