Bhartiya Valves Pvt Ltd Becomes First Valve MSME in North India to Get ZED Gold Certification

Faridabad-based Bhartiya Valves Pvt. Ltd. has achieved ZED Gold Certification under the Government of India’s Zero Defect Zero Effect scheme, becoming the first valve-manufacturing MSME in North India to earn this honour.

Faridabad: Bhartiya Valves Pvt. Ltd., a Faridabad-based MSME, has achieved the prestigious ZED Gold Certification, the highest recognition under the Government of India’s Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) scheme, marking a major milestone in sustainable manufacturing excellence. The company is led by Er. J.P. Malhotra, FIE, along with Er. Gautam Malhotra, MIE.

The ZED Certification, a flagship initiative of the Government of India, aims to promote quality excellence, environmental responsibility, and sustainable business practices among MSMEs. Under the ZED Maturity Assessment Model, enterprises are benchmarked through a structured and transparent evaluation system across three levels—Bronze, Silver, and Gold. The ZED Gold (Level-3) certification represents the highest standard of sustainability and operational excellence for MSMEs in the country.

Prior to applying for certification, Bhartiya Valves Pvt. Ltd. undertook the ZED Pledge, reaffirming its commitment to zero-defect manufacturing and minimal environmental impact. The ZED Gold certification evaluates 22 critical parameters, ensuring clearly defined and well-documented roles, systems, and responsibilities across the organisation. The company has implemented a robust quality control system to comply with 21 stringent ZED Gold requirements.

An ISO-certified MSME, Bhartiya Valves Pvt. Ltd. is engaged in the manufacture of industrial valves for high-pressure compressed gases. The company is approved by the Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization (PESO), and its products carry the BIS Standard Mark, reinforcing its credibility in the industrial sector.

Significantly, Bhartiya Valves Pvt. Ltd. has become the first valve-manufacturing MSME in Northern India to receive the ZED Gold Certification, a unique achievement that further enhances customer confidence in its products and services.

The ZED Gold Certificate was presented to Er. J.P. Malhotra, FIE, and Er. V.B. Singh, President, Institution of Engineers (India), Headquarters, by the Chairman of the Institution of Engineers (India) during a National Conference organised by the Faridabad Chapter of IEI at YMCA J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, Faridabad. The achievement received wide appreciation from delegates attending the conference.

Earlier, the company was honoured with the “Outstanding Small Entrepreneur” award for the State of Haryana by the then President of India, Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma, in recognition of its industrial excellence.
