Taxi operators thank Transport Minister Anil Vij for extending the validity of ‘All India Tourist Permit’ for vehicles in the state to 12 years

Chandigarh, May 17 – Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister, Sh. Anil Vij today honored female boxer Harnur Kaur from Shahpur, Ambala Cantonment, in Ambala by presenting her with a medal for winning bronze in the boxing compitition at the Khelo India Youth Games 2025. In addition, taxi operators expressed gratitude to the Minister for increasing the validity of ‘All India Tourist Permits’ for vehicles in Haryana from 9 years to 12 years.

Sh. Vij interacted with Harnur Kaur and extended his best wishes for her future. He said that the state government is providing numerous facilities to promote athletes. Moreover, the sports infrastructure in Ambala Cantonment has been strengthened, enabling local athletes to gain recognition on the global stage. Harnur’s parents were also present during the occasion and received best wishes from Energy Minister Sh. Anil Vij.

Notably, boxer Harnur Kaur recently won a bronze medal in the 65 kg category at the Khelo India Youth Games held in Patna.

Taxi operators from Haryana met with Minister Anil Vij at his residence and expressed their gratitude towards Energy Minister. They stated that thanks to the Minister’s efforts, the validity of All India Tourist Permits in Haryana has been extended from 9 years to 12 years. This decision has benefited thousands of taxi drivers across the state. A few days ago, the taxi operators had presented their demands to the Minister, who promptly acted to address their concerns.

Cabinet Minister Anil Vij redresses public grievances and directs action

Cabinet Minister Anil Vij also listened to grievances from residents of the Ambala Cantonment Assembly constituency at his residence and issued instructions to the concerned officials for appropriate action.The family of a married woman from Ghaseetpur submitted a complaint stating that her husband fights with her and had evicted her from their home. Although a complaint was filed in Jind, no effective action had been taken by the police. Energy Minister Anil Vij directed the police to take immediate action.

A resident of Daleepgarh complained about the need to fix the level of a street in the area, upon which Energy Minister Vij instructed the Municipal Council’s Executive Officer to take action.Residents from Babiyal requested repairs to drainage systems in their area. Similarly, residents of Boh requested repairs for drains and streets, and a woman from Kaccha Bazaar requested correction of her meter reading, along with other complaints. On all these complaints, Energy Minister Anil Vij directed the respective officials to take necessary action.
