Anil Kapoor’s ‘24’ Set for OTT Comeback on JioHotstar

Popular action thriller to stream again with weekly episode drops starting April 24

Actor Anil Kapoor’s acclaimed action series 24 is gearing up for a digital return, with both seasons scheduled to stream on JioHotstar later this month.

The show will begin streaming from April 24, with episodes released in batches every Friday. Viewers can revisit the high-stakes narrative that unfolds in a gripping real-time format, a style that made the series stand out during its original television run.

Initially broadcast on Colors TV, the first season aired in 2013, followed by a second season in 2016. Over time, the series earned a strong following for its fast-paced storytelling and intense action.

Sharing the announcement, Anil Kapoor expressed excitement about bringing the series back to audiences. He described 24 as one of the most defining projects of his career, highlighting its unique storytelling approach and relentless pace.

According to the actor, the show demanded sustained energy and precision, making it a challenging yet rewarding experience. He also called it a landmark production in the Indian action-thriller space.

The OTT release has reignited discussions about a possible third season. Earlier, Kapoor had hinted at the return of 24 while responding to fans online, sparking speculation about a continuation. However, there has been no official confirmation so far.

Directed by Abhinay Deo and Rensil D’Silva, the show featured a strong ensemble cast including Neil Bhoopalam, Raaghav Chanana, Anita Raj, and Sapna Pabbi.

The storyline revolves around counter-terrorism operations led by Jai Singh Rathod, played by Kapoor, with events unfolding in real time — a format that added urgency and realism to the narrative.
