BJP Will Return to Power with Record Mandate in Assam Says Amit Shah

Amit Shah Predicts Record Win for Bharatiya Janata Party in Assam Ahead of Poll Schedule Announcement

Guwahati, March 15 Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party will return to power in Assam with a record mandate in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Addressing party youth workers in Guwahati during his two-day visit to the state, Shah said the large participation of young party members reflected strong public support for the BJP government led by Himanta Biswa Sarma.

He said that representatives from thousands of polling booths across the state attended the gathering, describing the event as a “huge congregation of youth” that indicates the party’s strong grassroots presence.

Shah asserted that the enthusiasm among party workers shows that the BJP is well positioned to secure another term in power in the state.

The Home Minister highlighted the achievements of the state government over the past five years, including the creation of government jobs and various development initiatives aimed at improving governance.

He claimed that recruitment processes were conducted transparently and without corruption, adding that the government ensured that deserving candidates received employment opportunities without political influence.

Shah also criticised previous governments led by the Indian National Congress, alleging that they failed to protect the cultural identity and security of the state.

He further said that several peace agreements signed with insurgent groups in recent years have helped bring stability to Assam and encouraged many youths to give up arms and join the mainstream.

The Union Minister also reiterated the government’s stance against illegal infiltration, stating that strong action would continue to be taken to address the issue if the BJP returns to power in the state.
