However, a section of social media users pointed out that the kids were served food on paper plates and plastic glasses, while Varun ate from a steel plate. One user commented, “Sir, you are eating in steel and feeding kids in paper plates, this is wrong.”

Varun’s fans quickly came to his defense, reminding critics that disposable plates are commonly used at religious and festive gatherings for convenience. “He’s eating at home, that’s why he has a steel plate.
