Bollywood actor Shraddha Kapoor has urged professional networking platform LinkedIn to resolve an issue after her account was mistakenly flagged as fake.
The 38-year-old actor, who was last seen in the blockbuster Stree 2, took to Instagram on Saturday to share her frustration. Tagging the official LinkedIn India handle, she wrote, “Dear LinkedIn @linkedin_in, I’m not being able to use my own account because LinkedIn thinks it’s fake. Can someone please help me?”
Kapoor explained that though her account is premium and verified, it remains inaccessible to others. “Account is made, premium and verified, but no one else can see it. Want to start sharing my entrepreneurial journey, getting an account itself has become a journey,” she added.
Shraddha Kapoor is the co-founder and brand ambassador of jewellery brand Palmonas, established in 2022. The brand gained visibility on Shark Tank India, where it secured ₹1.26 crore in funding from Namita Thapar and Ritesh Aggarwal.
Beyond her entrepreneurial pursuits, Kapoor continues to shine in films. Stree 2, released on August 15, 2024, grossed over ₹857 crore worldwide. The third installment of the horror-comedy franchise is slated for release in 2027. She is also set to headline Nikhil Dwivedi’s upcoming fantasy drama Naagin, which will begin production later this year.
Kapoor’s appeal highlights the challenges public figures sometimes face on professional platforms, even when verified, as they seek to connect with audiences beyond the entertainment industry.
