Kangana Ranaut Responds After Manisha Koirala Calls Her ‘Brilliant, Phenomenal Actor’

Mumbai, Aug 10 — Actor Kangana Ranaut expressed her gratitude after veteran actor Manisha Koirala praised her, calling her a “brilliant” and “phenomenal” performer. Kangana shared the clip of Manisha’s comments on her Instagram Stories on Sunday, captioning it with a heartfelt, “Thank you ma’am,” along with heart and folded hands emojis.

Speaking to Filme Shilmy, Manisha named several “new age” actors she admires, including Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Rajkummar Rao, Alia Bhatt, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Junaid Khan. “In the big star category, Kangana is a brilliant actor. She is a phenomenal actor. Alia Bhatt is a very good, brilliant actor. So hardworking and it shows,” she said.

Manisha, who has previously praised Kangana’s performance in Queen, said she never misses the films of actors she admires. She also lauded Junaid Khan’s debut in Maaharaj.

Kangana was last seen in Emergency (2025), which underperformed at the box office, earning ₹20 crore. She is set to make her Hollywood debut in the horror drama Blessed Be the Evil, co-starring Tyler Posey and Scarlet Rose Stallone, with filming scheduled to begin this summer in New York.

Manisha recently appeared in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Netflix series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar (2024), which broke viewership records despite mixed reviews.
