Mumbai, June 11Television star Avika Gor, best known for her iconic role in Balika Vadhu, has officially announced her engagement to her longtime boyfriend Milind Chandwani, an IIM graduate and social entrepreneur.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the actress shared a heartwarming post featuring pictures from the proposal and a romantic caption that’s winning hearts online.

“He asked.. I smiled, I cried (in that order 🙈)… and screamed the easiest YES of my life! I’m full filmy — background score, slow-mo dreams, mascara running and all… Because real love? It may not always be perfect. But, It. Is. Magical,” wrote Avika.

Avika and Milind have been in a relationship for over five years. The actress made their relationship public in 2020. During a podcast hosted by Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa, she revealed:

“He is a 9-to-5 corporate guy who also runs an NGO. I was sure about him from day one. If it was up to me, I would’ve married him 4.5 years ago!”

Milind, known for his work with the NGO Camp Diaries and a former contestant on MTV Roadies Real Heroes, reportedly took a measured approach and encouraged Avika to take her time before settling down.

The pictures show the couple glowing with happiness. Avika described Milind as her “logic and calm,” contrasting with her own “filmy drama,” highlighting how their opposites attract. The proposal moment, she said, felt straight out of a movie.

  • Avika Gor: Rose to fame with Balika Vadhu and also starred in Sasural Simar Ka.
