New Delhi – The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued an important notice for candidates under the Persons with Benchmark Disability/Persons with Disability (PwBD/PwD) category who have opted to avail the facility of a scribe for the upcoming Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2025.

As per the official notification, candidates who wish to change their scribe for the UPSC CSE Prelims 2025 must submit their request no later than May 18, 2025, up to 4:00 PM.

Candidates are required to send the updated details of their new scribe via email to uscsp-upsc@nic.in. The email must include the following information:

  • Full name of the scribe

  • Recent photograph of the scribe

  • Father’s name of the scribe

  • Educational qualification of the scribe

Only those requests received at the given email address by the mentioned deadline will be considered by the Commission.

In addition, the UPSC has made available a dedicated link on its official website where candidates can submit the scribe information online. It is strongly recommended that candidates follow the instructions carefully and ensure timely submission to avoid disqualification from availing the scribe facility.

The UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2025 is scheduled to be conducted on May 25, 2025, at various examination centres across the country.

Candidates are advised to regularly check the official UPSC website for updates and to act promptly if they require a change of scribe.
