New Delhi, September 23, 2025: The Ministry of Textiles has actively participated in the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2025, with offices and affiliated organizations across the country engaging in large-scale cleanliness activities.
The Jute Corporation of India (JCI) organized Safai Mitras Suraksha Shivirs, providing free health check-ups, medicines, and support services to over 200 sanitation workers and local residents.
Textiles Committee, Mumbai-
In Mumbai, the Textiles Committee hosted Swachh Bharat Cultural Fests at high-footfall areas, featuring performances of local music, dance, and art to promote awareness about cleanliness.


National Handloom Development Corporation Limited (NHDC)-
The National Handloom Development Corporation (NHDC) carried out extensive cleaning at its headquarters on September 22, 2025, and continues to organize similar drives at its regional offices.
The National Jute Board (NJB) held a Mass Scale Cleanliness Drive in New Town, Kolkata, with active participation from its Secretary and officials.


Meanwhile, the Office of the Development Commissioner for Handlooms undertook pest control and deep cleaning activities across various sections of Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi, as part of the nationwide campaign.
These initiatives highlight the Ministry’s ongoing commitment to promoting hygiene and cleanliness in line with the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.
