Kevadia, Gujarat | July 9, 2025 – In a major push to accelerate the transformation of India’s higher education landscape, the Ministry of Education is set to host a two-day Vice Chancellors’ Conference of Central Universities from 10th to 11th July 2025 at Kevadia, Gujarat. The event is a key milestone in the lead-up to the five-year anniversary of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The conference will bring together Vice Chancellors from across India’s Central Universities, alongside Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of State Dr. Sukanta Majumdar, and senior officials from the Ministry. The goal: to evaluate NEP 2020’s progress and craft a future-forward strategy that positions Central Universities as drivers of innovation, equity, and global relevance.
