Jaipur, July 03, 2025 — The counselling process for the Rajasthan Pre-Teacher Education Test (PTET) 2025 will officially commence on July 4, 2025, for candidates seeking admission into integrated four-year BA B.Ed/B.Sc B.Ed courses as well as the two-year B.Ed program. The process is being conducted by Vardhman Mahaveer Open University (VMOU), Kota, the official coordinating body for PTET.
Candidates who have successfully cleared the PTET 2025 examination can now participate in the online counselling procedure, which includes registration, document upload, choice filling, and seat allotment. The registration portal is live at www.ptetvmoukota2025.in.
Students must follow these five key steps to ensure smooth registration:
Visit the Official Website: Go to ptetvmoukota2025.in.
Select the Course: Choose either the two-year B.Ed or the four-year integrated BA B.Ed/B.Sc B.Ed option based on your qualification.
Fill the Registration Form: Enter personal details, PTET roll number, date of birth, and academic marks.
Upload Documents: Submit scanned copies of your academic certificates, photograph, and signature.
Pay the Counselling Fee: Make the payment online and save the confirmation receipt for future use.
In a directive issued by the Commissionerate of College Education, Rajasthan, teacher training institutions with temporary registration status have been given a final window to upload their required documents. This submission window will remain open from July 3 to July 10, 2025.
Failing to meet this deadline will result in disqualification from the counselling process, and any false or inaccurate documentation will lead to immediate cancellation of registration without notice.
Post-registration, candidates will proceed to choice filling, selecting preferred colleges. Based on merit, seat availability, and preferences, allotment results will be published on the official portal. Selected candidates must report to their assigned institutions with original documents to confirm admission.
Authorities have advised both students and institutions to strictly adhere to the counselling schedule to avoid delays in starting the academic session 2025–26.
The PTET is a crucial examination for aspiring educators in Rajasthan. While the two-year B.Ed program is pursued after graduation, the four-year integrated course provides a direct path from senior secondary to teaching qualification. Successful completion opens employment opportunities in government and private schools across India.
In the previous academic session (2024–25), over 1.5 lakh candidates applied for PTET, underscoring the competitive nature of teacher education admissions in the state.
Vardhman Mahaveer Open University, established in 1987, has emerged as a leader in distance and open education. The university’s consistent and transparent handling of PTET counselling over the years has helped maintain credibility and efficiency in the process. VMOU continues to serve thousands of teaching aspirants annually across Rajasthan.
