The Impressive TimesNews Report: A tragic end has been reported in a missing-person case involving a 15-year-old girl from Kerala’s Palakkad district, who was discovered deceased near a popular waterfall viewpoint in Karnataka’s Chikkamagaluru region.
The teenager had gone missing earlier this week while visiting the scenic area around Manikyadhara Falls. Search teams, assisted by drone surveillance, had been scanning difficult terrain around the hill station for several days.
On Friday morning, the search operation came to a breakthrough when a drone spotted the body in a deep slope, approximately 500 meters below the designated viewing point used by tourists to observe the waterfall. Rescue teams later reached the location and recovered the remains.
Officials confirmed that the deceased was the same teenager who had been reported missing since Tuesday evening. The area, part of the rugged Baba Budangiri Hills region, is known for steep cliffs and dense forest cover, which made the search operation extremely challenging.
Authorities are continuing further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
