Sports Department to Organize State-Level Sports Festival for Athletes: DC Vikram Singh

Decision Taken to Conduct 24 Games in Open Category for Men and Women

Faridabad, June 7, 2024 – DC Vikram Singh informed that the Sports Department is organizing a state-level sports festival for athletes. Trials for the sports will begin today, Saturday. He mentioned that the Sports Department of Haryana has decided to conduct a state-level sports festival (for men and women) in the open category, featuring 24 games.

Providing detailed information about the sports festival, District Sports Officer Devendra Guliya stated that the selection of teams participating in the state-level sports festival will be based on trials. Only athletes residing in Haryana can participate in these trials.

The trials will be conducted on the following dates and venues:

– Archery: Trials for Recurve Round and Compound Round for girls on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, starting from 8:00 AM, and trials for boys on Sunday, June 9th, 2024, starting from 8:00 AM at the Archery Field, Sector-12.

– Athletics: Trials for both boys and girls on June 8th and 9th, 2024, starting from 6:00 AM at the Synthetic Athletic Track, Sector-12.

– Badminton: Trials for both boys and girls on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, starting from 10:00 AM at K.L. Mehta Dayanand School, Sector-7.

– Basketball: Trials for both boys and girls on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, starting from 8:00 AM at the Indoor Stadium, Sector-31.

– Fencing: Trials for both boys and girls on Saturday, June 8th, and Sunday, June 9th, 2024, starting from 9:00 AM at the Indoor Stadium, Sector-31.

– Football: Trials for girls on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, starting from 6:00 AM at Raja Nahar Singh Stadium and trials for boys on Sunday, June 9th, 2024, starting from 6:00 AM at the Football Ground, Sector-12.

– Gymnastics: Trials for both boys and girls on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, starting from 9:00 AM at the Indoor Stadium, Sector-12.

– Hockey: Trials for both boys and girls on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, starting from 4:00 PM at the Hockey AstroTurf Ground, Sector-12.

– Judo: Trials for both boys and girls on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, starting from 8:00 AM at the Judo Hall, Sector-12.

– Kabaddi: Trials for both boys and girls on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, starting from 8:00 AM at the YMCA Sports Complex, Sector-17.

– Tennis: Trials for both boys and girls on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, starting from 8:00 AM at the Tennis Academy, Sector-12.

– Shooting: Trials for both boys and girls on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, starting from 9:00 AM at the Shooting Range, Sector-12.

– Table Tennis: Trials for both boys and girls on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, starting from 9:00 AM at the Indoor Stadium, Sector-12.

– Wrestling: Trials for both boys and girls on Monday, June 10th, 2024, starting from 8:00 AM at the Wrestling Hall, Sector-12.

– Taekwondo: Trials for both boys and girls on Sunday, June 9th, 2024, starting from 9:00 AM at the Judo Hall, Sector-12.

– Cycling, Kayaking, Canoeing, and Rowing: Trials for both boys and girls on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, starting from 10:00 AM at Modern School, Sector-17, Faridabad.

– Volleyball: Trials for girls on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, starting from 3:00 PM, and for boys on Sunday, June 9th, 2024, starting from 3:00 PM at the Sports Complex, N.I.T.-3.

These trials will provide an opportunity for talented athletes to showcase their skills and represent their state at the state-level sports festival.
