New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday paid homage to renowned reformer Jyotirao Phule on his birth anniversary, acknowledging his enduring impact on Indian society.
In his message, the Prime Minister described Phule as a forward-thinking leader who devoted his life to promoting fairness, justice, and access to education. He underlined Phule’s role in advocating for the rights of women and disadvantaged communities, calling his work transformative.
Marking a historic milestone, the Prime Minister noted that this year signals the beginning of celebrations commemorating Phule’s 200th birth anniversary. As part of the occasion, he also shared his reflections through a written piece, emphasizing how Phule’s ideas continue to inspire generations.
