PM Modi Warns: Operation Sindoor Will Resume If Terror Returns

Bikramganj (Bihar), May 30 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday reiterated a stern warning to those involved in terrorism, asserting that Operation Sindoor would resume with full force if even the slightest attempt of a terror strike is made on Indian soil. He stated that those sheltering behind safe havens would be tracked down and eliminated.

Addressing a public gathering in Bihar’s Rohtas district—his second in the state since the April 24 Pahalgam terror attack—PM Modi reminded the nation of the promise he made to bring the perpetrators and their backers to justice. “We fulfilled that promise. Our armed forces destroyed terror bases and military infrastructure across the border under Operation Sindoor,” he said.

He emphasized that Operation Sindoor has only been paused, not ended. “If there’s any further act of terror, the operation will resume, and those behind it will be dragged out from their dens and crushed,” the Prime Minister warned.

Highlighting the decisive role of the armed forces, Modi said their bravery during Operation Sindoor was seen and recognized globally. “This is not our only response; our quiver has many more arrows. If needed, future responses will be even more intense and unforgiving,” he added, sending a clear signal to Pakistan and terror groups.

The Prime Minister also paid homage to the courage and contributions of youth from Bihar, especially the Shahabad region—land of the legendary freedom fighter Veer Kunwar Singh. He saluted BSF jawan Imtiyaz, who was martyred during the operation.

During his earlier visit to Madhubani on April 24, PM Modi had vowed to punish the perpetrators of the April 22 Pahalgam attack. Fulfilling that commitment, Indian forces launched Operation Sindoor during the night of May 6-7, targeting and destroying terrorist hideouts and airbases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Over 100 terrorists were reported eliminated during the strikes.
