Himachal Pradesh CM Assures Computer Teachers Sangh of Sympathetic Consideration of Demands

CM Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu meets H.P. Computer Teachers Sangh, promises sympathetic consideration of their 24-year-long demand for service regularization.

Shimla, November 16: A delegation from the Himachal Pradesh Computer Teachers Sangh, led by its President Suman Thakur, met Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu to present their long-standing demand for the regularization of services. The meeting took place at the Chief Minister’s residence, where the delegation emphasized their contributions to the education sector over the past 24 years. The delegation highlighted that computer teachers have been working diligently in government schools across the state for over two decades. Despite their consistent service, they have not been regularized, which has left them in a state of job insecurity. Sangh President Suman Thakur urged the Chief Minister to address their concerns and fulfill their long-pending demand for regular employment status.

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu assured the delegation that their demands would be considered sympathetically. He stated that the state government would seek the opinion of the Law Department on the matter and take appropriate action in the best interest of the teachers. “The government is committed to addressing the genuine issues of its employees. We will ensure that their concerns are resolved in a fair and just manner,” the Chief Minister said. Secretary of Education Rakesh Kanwar, who was present during the meeting, expressed the government’s acknowledgment of the significant role played by computer teachers in enhancing digital education in government schools. He emphasized the importance of their work in preparing students for a technology-driven world.

State Coordinator of the Sangh, Ajeet Dhiman, and other representatives also voiced their perspectives, reinforcing the need for the government to prioritize regularization. They highlighted that many of these teachers have served tirelessly under challenging circumstances, contributing significantly to the state’s educational ecosystem.

The delegation expressed optimism about the Chief Minister’s assurances and hoped for prompt action to resolve their grievances. With this assurance from the Chief Minister, the computer teachers are hopeful that their contributions over the past 24 years will be recognized through the regularization of their services, bringing them long-overdue stability and security in their professional lives.
