Rs.50-Crore Road Project to Link Faridabad with Noida via Manjhawali Bridge: Haryana Minister Rajesh Nagar

4.2-km road named after Atal Bihari Vajpayee to reduce distance, boost trade and connectivity between Haryana and Uttar Pradesh

Faridabad: Following the completion of the Manjhawali Bridge over the Yamuna, work has begun on constructing a road to connect Faridabad with Noida. Haryana’s Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Minister Rajesh Nagar, Rajya Sabha MP Surender Nagar, MP Mahesh Sharma, and Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh jointly inaugurated the road construction in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, by performing a traditional coconut-breaking ceremony.

The road will be named after former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Minister Rajesh Nagar said the project will significantly reduce the distance between Faridabad and Noida, strengthening social ties, family relations, and business links between people of the two states. He stated that residents of the Tigaon Assembly constituency will benefit the most, as they earlier had to travel via Delhi’s Sarita Vihar to reach Noida, Ghaziabad, or Jewar to meet relatives.

With the completion of this project, direct connectivity will be ensured at the earliest. The 4.2-kilometre-long road will connect Greater Faridabad to Greater Noida via the Manjhawali Bridge, resulting in substantial savings of time and fuel. The project will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs.50 crore and will reduce distances to Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Jewar, Greater Noida, and Dadri.

Rajesh Nagar expressed gratitude to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, local MPs, and public representatives for initiating the project. He added that it is a matter of pride that the work commenced a day after the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, with a unanimous decision to name the road in his honour.

Prominent dignitaries present on the occasion included BJP Uttar Pradesh Vice President Kanta Kardam, BJP Jewar District President Abhishek Sharma, former District President Vijay Bhati, Sukhpal Nagar, Aman Nagar, Councillor Pradeep Tonger, Gajraj Nagar, Sudhir Nagar, Prahlad Sharma, Market Committee Mohna President Sandeep Tonger, Vice Chairman Shripal Sharma, and many others.
