Media and Environment Book launched

Faridabad, 11 april 2025: The book “Media and Environment” was released during the Haryana Film Festival 2025. This book has been authored by Rachna Kasana, Head of Journalism and Mass Communication, and Kritika, Assistant Professor, DAV Centenary College, Faridabad.

The book release ceremony was launched by Professor Harish Kumar, Head of Journalism and Mass Communication, MD University, Rohtak. Also present on the occasion were Dr. Saurav, Dr. Shiv Kumar, and Dr. Ravindra. Rachna Kasana presented a copy of the book to Sunit Mukherjee, Assistant Professor, Journalism and Mass Communication, MD University, Rohtak, and Shalini Khurana, Assistant Professor, Government College for Women.

This book has been written in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and is a multidisciplinary course book. The book discusses various case studies and ways in which media covers environmental issues. Environmental journalism and topics related to the environment are also discussed in detail.

The Officiating Principal of DAV Centenary College, Faridabad, Dr. Archana Bhatia, congratulated the authors and said that the department is doing excellent work under Rachna Kasana’s leadership. Rachna credited her Principal, Dr. Archana Bhatia, and Professor Harish Kumar for their support in writing this book.

The publication of this book will greatly benefit students and teachers. The book aims to help understand the relationship between media and the environment and provide new perspectives in the field of environmental journalism.
