Minister Manohar Lal Leads ‘Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath’ Cleanliness Drive in Chandigarh

Union Minister Manohar Lal joined citizens in Chandigarh’s Sector 22 Market for the nationwide ‘Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath’ campaign, inspiring community action for the Swachh Bharat Mission and a cleaner India.

Chandigarh, September 25: Carrying forward the vision of a cleaner India, Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA)  Manohar Lal  spearheaded the ‘Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath’ campaign in Chandigarh. The Minister offered shramdaan (voluntary labour) at the bustling Sector 22 Market near Kiran Theatre at 8:00 a.m., joining citizens and local officials in a spirited cleanliness drive.

The initiative, aimed at encouraging community participation in the Swachh Bharat Mission, witnessed enthusiastic involvement from Union Ministers, state officials, municipal staff, and residents across the country. The campaign highlights the importance of collective responsibility, urging every citizen to dedicate at least one hour to cleanliness activities.

Officials from the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation, local volunteers, and shopkeepers also participated, reinforcing the message that public cooperation is key to sustainable cleanliness and hygiene. Similar drives were organized simultaneously in cities and towns nationwide, making it a powerful demonstration of unity for a cleaner, greener India.
