Two Gogi Gang Shooters Arrested in Neeraj Tehlan Murder Case After Gunfight in Gurugram

Gurugram/Delhi, September 26, 2025: In a major breakthrough, the Special Cell of Delhi Police, in a joint operation with the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA), Gurugram, apprehended two key shooters of the Gogi Gang wanted in the sensational murder of Neeraj Tehlan at Najafgarh. The arrest followed a brief exchange of fire in Sector 99, Gurugram, during which both accused sustained bullet injuries.

The arrested accused have been identified as Mohit Jakhad (29), resident of Goyla Khurd, Chhawla, and Jatin Rajput (21), resident of Vipin Garden, Dwarka More, Delhi. Police recovered two pistols, four live cartridges, and a motorcycle used in the crime.

Neeraj Tehlan, the prime witness in a double murder case at a Najafgarh saloon in February 2024, was killed on July 4, 2025. The feud began after Tehlan and Ashish Sindhu were arrested in 2021 in a case under FIR No. 93/21 at Chhawla Police Station. Tehlan suspected Sanjeev @ Sanju Dahiya of betraying him to the police.

Following his release from jail, Tehlan reportedly threatened Sanju Dahiya multiple times. In retaliation, Sanju Dahiya allegedly roped in members of the Gogi Gang to target Tehlan. On February 9, 2024, during an attack at a Najafgarh saloon, Tehlan survived while his companions Sonu Tehlan and Ashish Sindhu were killed. Harsh @ Chintoo, another gang member involved, was later arrested, while Sanju Dahiya remains at large.

Tehlan was finally killed on July 4, 2025, with Mohit Jakhad, Jatin Rajput, and Neeraj Gujjar carrying out the attack on instructions from Sanju Dahiya.

The Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Inspector Anuj Nautiyal and Inspector Chandan, under ACP Rahul Kumar Singh and DCP Krishan Kumar, acted on intelligence about the fugitives’ movement in Gurugram. Early on September 26, the accused were spotted on a Splendor motorcycle near Village Dhankot, Sector 99. When intercepted, the fugitives opened fire, injuring HC Narpat and SI Vikas, who were unharmed due to a bulletproof jacket and prompt medical attention. Police returned fire and successfully apprehended both accused, who were immediately taken to the hospital.

Accused Profiles and Interrogation

• Mohit Jakhad studied up to 12th class and was heavily influenced by gangsters.

• Jatin Rajput is pursuing ITI in Electrical at a polytechnic in Vikaspuri and was similarly influenced.

During interrogation, both admitted to killing Tehlan out of revenge for past altercations and on instructions from Sanju Dahiya. They disclosed that Neeraj Gujjar was also part of the conspiracy.

Police Crackdown on Gangsters
This arrest is part of Delhi Police’s ongoing crackdown on organized crime in the NCR region. Over the past month, 44 gang members and 6 CCLs (Children in Conflict with Law) were apprehended across multiple districts. The operations involved gangs such as Kapil Sangwan @ Nandu, Harry Boxer – Rohit Godara, Gogi Gang, Himanshu Bhau, Zora, and more.

A case under relevant sections has been registered at Rajender Park Police Station, Gurugram, and further investigation is underway.
