New Delhi, November 6, 2025: Renowned travel influencer and photographer Anunay Sood has passed away at the age of 32, his family confirmed through an official post on his Instagram account on Thursday morning.
The family’s message expressed deep grief and requested privacy, urging followers not to gather near their residence.
“It is with deep sadness that we share the news of our beloved Anunay Sood’s passing. We kindly ask for your understanding and privacy as we navigate this difficult time… Please keep his family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers,” the post read.
While the cause of death has not been officially disclosed, several social media users claimed it was due to a heart attack, though this remains unconfirmed by the family.
Anunay Sood was among India’s most recognized travel creators, celebrated for his captivating visuals and storytelling. Based in Dubai, he built a massive online following with over 1.4 million Instagram followers, 400,000 YouTube subscribers, and thousands more on other platforms.
According to his social media bio, Sood had explored 46 countries, including France, Italy, Greece, Japan, and Hong Kong. His journey as a creator began by sharing travel photos, which quickly evolved into full-scale collaborations with tourism boards from Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, and New Zealand, as well as global brands like OPPO and Airtel.
He was featured in Forbes India’s Top 100 Digital Stars for three consecutive years — 2022, 2023, and 2024 — where he was described as “a Dubai-based photographer who began by sharing his travel stories on Instagram.”
Anunay’s final Instagram post, uploaded just two days before his passing, showcased his experience at The Concours at Wynn in Las Vegas, an elite automotive showcase featuring rare and luxury cars.
“Still can’t believe I spent the weekend surrounded by legends and dream machines,” he wrote, sharing photos with automobile icons including Horacio Pagani, founder of Pagani Automobili.
Anunay Sood was once engaged to fellow influencer Brinda Sharma. The romantic proposal, captured in snow-covered mountains, went viral among travel enthusiasts. However, the couple ended their engagement a few years later. In a 2024 YouTube Q&A video, Sood opened up about their separation, acknowledging that their relationship had “its own share of challenges.”
In recent months, he was reportedly in a relationship with Shivani Parihar, an actor and digital creator from Jaipur. Shivani, who has 2.58 lakh followers on Instagram, shared a heartfelt tribute following his death, which was later deleted.
“My heart feels so heavy… You were my person, my safe place, my life, my everything,” she wrote.
Followers also pointed out that Shivani had been in Las Vegas during the same time as Anunay, based on her recent Instagram posts.

“What??? He was my husband’s favorite blogger! This can’t be true,” wrote one user.
“You were such a bright light — your love for life will always be remembered,” another commented.
