Faridabad: The 5th Inter-Agency Coordination Meeting, chaired by Principal Advisor for Urban Development D.S. Dhesi, was held at the Mini Secretariat auditorium with Divisional Commissioner Sanjay Joon, Deputy Commissioner Vikram Singh, and officers from various departments and agencies. The meeting focused on projects under Smart City Mission, AMRUT scheme, urban transport, water supply, sewerage, housing, solid waste management, environmental protection, and other infrastructure initiatives.
D.S. Dhesi directed HSVP, FMDA, and MCF officials to immediately survey damaged roads, potholes, and broken stretches and ensure quick repairs. He stressed that roads damaged during monsoon must be restored promptly within set timelines while maintaining quality standards. Discussing monsoon-related waterlogging, D.S. Dhesi instructed officials to construct effective and safe temporary water-holding structures in Faridabad, similar to Gurugram.

He suggested lowering greenbelt levels below road height and creating water retention pits at intervals to store rainwater and prevent flooding. Officials were directed to speed up all formalities related to land transfer and ensure timely issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to prevent delays in development projects. FMDA officials informed that the DPR (Detailed Project Report) of Budhiya Nala would be ready in six months. An Irrigation Department nodal officer has been appointed to conduct the survey and secure NOCs to avoid delays in drainage work. Dhesi instructed coordinated efforts to ensure early completion of all formalities. FMDA’s Chief Engineer (Infra-II) reported that the 80 MLD capacity Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at Mirzapur is operational.
Work on laying an 1800 mm diameter master sewer line from Kheri Bridge to the STP was also discussed. Reviewing the Chandpur pond project, it was informed that 15 acres of land have been acquired, out of which 9 acres will be used for pond construction. He directed officials to finish the work within the deadline, ensuring strong and durable construction capable of handling Yamuna river overflow during monsoons. He also instructed expediting works on the Rs.437 crore Convention Centre at Sector 78 with strict quality standards. He also reviewed the proposed bus depot at Sector 61, for which HSVP has allotted 10 acres of land and Smart City has prepared the proposal. The meeting was also attended by Faridabad Smart City CEO Shyamal Mishra, Municipal Commissioner Dhirendra Khadgata, HSVP Administrator Anupama Anjali, and other departmental officers.
