DAV14 FBD ORGANIZES SPORTS DAY ON CHILDREN’S DAY

It was a matter of great delight for Dav sec 14 Fbd to organize Sports Day on the joyful  occasion of Children’s Day on 14th November , 2025 for the students of classes IX and XI , under the aegis of Principal Ms Anita Gautam. The day was dedicated to celebrating children’s     spirit ,enthusiasm and energy .

The Guests present on the day were Sh Amit Ahuja, Hony. Secretary , Roller Skating Association ,Fbd and Mr Ajit Chandila , former  Indian cricketer from Haryana.

On this day , several Inter House Sports Competitions were organized and various fun races , games and athletic events were planned for the day . A wide array of events including Football matches , three legged  race , Lemon spoon race , sack race ,  50 mt Sprint race  etc. kept the participants engaged and the audience cheering.  Preparations had started much in advance under the guidance and meticulous planning of Academic Co-ordinator , Sr Sec & Sec Segment , Ms Suman Arora ,House Co-ordinators , Ms Poonam Gupta and Ms Dimple Advani and the tireless efforts of House wardens of all six Houses and members of Sports Department , to ensure everything  ran smoothly.

Boys and Girls of both classes showcased  their  sportsmanship , teamwork and cheerful spirit . The football match between Alaknanda and Himalaya House was a crowd favourite . Both the guests present boosted confidence and motivated all the participants .

The celebration culminated with a prize distribution ceremony where First position trophy was bagged by Alaknanda house , Nilgiri bagged first Runner up trophy , second runner up trophy was jointly bagged by Kaveri and Himalaya House.  Principal Ms Anita Gautam congratulated all the winners and also emphasized the importance of sports in building teamwork and a healthy lifestyle .

On the whole ,the event was well organized and the day was a memorable one filled  with laughter, energy and healthy competition .
