Bengaluru: The Department of Industries, Government of Bihar organized the Industry Stakeholders Meet 2026 – Bengaluru Roadshow at The Oterra Hotel, bringing together industry leaders, investors and stakeholders to explore investment opportunities and strengthen industrial partnerships with the state.
The programme aimed to promote dialogue with industry leaders, showcase Bihar’s progressive industrial policies and attract investments across key sectors.
During the event, SKundan Kumar, Secretary of the Industries Department and Managing Director of the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA), presented a detailed overview of investment opportunities in Bihar. He highlighted the state’s progressive policy reforms, expanding infrastructure and rapidly growing industrial ecosystem.

Kundan Kumar stated that Bihar is entering a new phase of industrial development supported by proactive governance and strong policy support. He highlighted initiatives such as the Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Package 2025, Bihar Semiconductor Policy 2026, Bihar GCC Policy and Bihar IT Policy, which aim to create opportunities in manufacturing, electronics, logistics and technology services.
Abhay Kumar Singh, Secretary, Department of Information Technology, Government of Bihar, also presented the key features of the Bihar GCC Policy 2026 and Bihar IT Policy 2024, outlining the state’s roadmap to promote global capability centres, technology services and digital innovation.

The programme also included experience-sharing by existing investors operating in Bihar. Mrs. Kumud Sharma, Executive Director of SuperSeva, appreciated the state government’s proactive efforts to build a supportive ecosystem for industries and technology services.
She revealed that the company has recently secured a major order from a leading US multinational firm, with nearly 70 percent of the workforce supporting the project operating from Bihar, demonstrating the availability of skilled manpower and the growing potential of the state as a hub for technology-driven services.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Vijay Kumar Upadhyaya, Director of IDA.
Earlier in the day, a Bihar government delegation led by Kundan Kumar visited the Electronics City Industrial Township Authority (ELCITA) in Bengaluru to study best practices in smart industrial township development and sustainable infrastructure management.
The delegation interacted with industry representatives, including Mr. V. Veerappan, Chairman of ELCITA, along with members of the Velankani Group and officials from Infosys. Discussions focused on potential collaboration, knowledge sharing and industrial development opportunities.
The team also observed demonstrations on smart city governance systems, security infrastructure, sustainability initiatives and school upliftment programmes. They later visited Sustainability Park-1, where they reviewed operations of solid waste management systems and a sewage treatment plant.
During the interaction, Kundan Kumar emphasized that the Bihar government is working towards developing modern and well-planned industrial townships to support the state’s future industrial growth.
Officials also discussed the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ELCITA in the future, positioning the organization as a knowledge partner for industrial township development in Bihar.
The delegation later visited the Velankani manufacturing facility in Jigani Industrial Area and its electronics manufacturing unit in Veerasandra Industrial Area. The team also toured the Infosys campus, where they observed major facilities including the Lime Glass Pyramid, Convention Hall, Heritage Red Brick Building, indoor recreational spaces, food courts and an in-campus metro station dedicated to employees.
